HemWell uses gentle direct current therapy to reduce blood flow to the hemorrhoid tissue, allowing it to shrink naturally over time. Unlike traditional surgical hemorrhoid treatments, the HemWell procedure is typically performed in an outpatient setting and does not involve cutting or removal of tissue.
